5.5 Quake Hits Sarangani
A magnitude-5.5 earthquake struck off Sarangani Province in Davao Occidental Wednesday morning.
In a report by Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the quake struck 169 kilometers west of Sarangani. It was recorded at 9:18 a.m.
Phivolcs said the quake was tectonic in origin and was recorded at a depth of 295 kilometers. Phivolcs added that it is expecting aftershocks, but does not expect damage from the quake.
