43 Couples Tied the Knot for Free in Minglanilla
Minglanilla, Cebu — 43 couples tied the knots for free as a mass wedding was celebrated at Minglanilla, Cebu on March 24 which was sponsored by the municipal government on the 56th birthday of Minglanilla Mayor Elanito Peña.
According to Mayor Peña, the mass wedding was the 3rd time the municipal government has sponsored such an event for free under his administration.
The mass wedding was participated by 43 couples from different parts of Minglanilla, and the couples came from all walks of life and their age, ranged from young to old couples that were legal to be wed.
The Peña administration had a P200,000 budget for the said mass wedding, which included a free reception and gift packs for the newly weds.
