40th Anniversary: A Group Exhibition

The Fine Arts Program of the University of the Philippines – Cebu celebrates its 40th Anniversary with a group exhibition at Qube Gallery Crossroads Banilad Cebu City this June 10, 2015 at 6pm.

This anniversary exhibition will feature more than 25 talents coming from different batches.

For 40 years now, The Fine Arts program of the University of the Philippines Cebu has continued to produce artists particularly in Studio Arts and Product Design, who have contributed to the essential development of local and national culture and arts. It was once the only institution to formally offer an Art program outside the capital region.

Its faculty is respected and distinguished artists, having been recipients of local and national recognition. They are active in producing art exhibits and quite often serve as judges in art competitions, resource speakers for workshops as well as consultants to the industry.

The studio arts program is looked upon as the pioneer in the field of art since it was for the longest time the only formal school outside the capital region. It has produced a number of graduates who themselves are now in the University, employed by other academic institutions and are visual artists in their own rights.

The product design program aspires to become the center of design in the Visayas. It has produced graduates who are offered employment even before they have completed their studies.
