4.2 Magnitude Quake Felt in Cebu

Residents of Cebu have woken up to a 4.2 magnitude earthquake felt at around 7:17 in the morning on July 17, 2020.

According to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs), the earthquake originated 4 km northeast of Minglanilla town in Cebu Province with a depth of 7 kilometers.

The origin of the earthquake is tectonic and there are no expected aftershocks, Phivolcs added.

No damages and casualties were reported caused by the earthquake. (ASC)
