300 Cops from Mandaue, Lapu-Lapu to Augment Other Areas

Some 300 police personnel from the Mandaue City Police Office (MCPO) and the Lapu-Lapu City Police Office (LCPO) will be assigned to different areas to augment the police force in Cebu Province on election day.

Sr. Supt. Jonathan Cabal, MCPO director, said 128 police personnel from the MCPO will be deployed in other areas on election day.

Of the number, 110 will be deployed around the province while the rest will be assigned in Bohol.

Cabal said in turn, 104 members of the Philippine Air Force (PAF) will help the MCPO secure the city.

He added the MCPO will deploy 54 police officers in the city’s 27 polling centers.

Some 145 members of the LCPO will augment personnel of the Cebu Provincial Police Office, said Sr. Supt. Arnel Amor Libed, LCPO director.

Libed said 125 PAF members will be assigned in the city to help LCPO personnel who will be assigned in the city’s 38 polling centers. (PNA) LDV/EB/EDS
