3 Luxury Cruise Ships To Visit Boracay This Month
For January, three luxury cruise ships are scheduled to visit this famous resort island.
Two of the visits are maiden calls, according to Kristoffer Leo Vellete of the Department of Tourism-Boracay.
MS Nautica will make its maiden voyage here on Jan. 26.
The luxury cruise ship owned by Oceania Cruises is expected to bring around 700 tourists and crews.
On Jan. 28, MS Celebrity Millennium, a Celebrity Cruises owned luxury ship will also make its maiden call here with about 3,000 tourists and crew members.
A consistent visitor of the island, MS Costa Victoria will make a return trip on Jan. 29 with around 3,000 tourists and crews.
In line with this, the Aklan Jetty Port administration will conduct a meeting on Jan. 14 with various agencies in preparation for the cruise visits.
Vellete said they are expecting 10 cruise ship visits in the island this year.
Last year, nine cruise ships made Boracay as its port of call. (PNA) JMC/AJP/KVBERMEJO/LPT
