2 Fire Incidents on One Day in Mandaue Razes 170 houses; Kills 2
An early morning fire razed 15 houses and killed a retired judge and his spouse in Zamora St., Barangay Centro, Mandaue City on Monday, February 17, 2020.
5 houses were also partially damaged.
Authorities received the fire alarm at 2 a.m. and was immediately raised into 2nd alarm at 2:04 a.m., 3rd alarm at 2:32 a.m., 4th alarm at 2:41 a.m.
Fire was declared under control at 3:05 a.m and was declared fire out at around 4:10 a.m.
P185,000 was the estimated worth of damage.
Meanwhile, a couple of hours after the fire in Centro, another fire broke out in Almer’s Compound, Barangay Tabok, Mandaue City at around 1 p.m.
Fire was raised into task force alpha at 1:44 p.m. and was under control at 2:24 p.m.
At 4:06 p.m., authorities declared fire out with no casualties.
150 houses were razed and the estimated worth of damage was P450,000. (MLC)
