178,000 New Quarantine Passes to be Distributed to Cebu City Households
Cebu City Mayor Edgar Labella announced during a press conference on Friday, June 26, 2020, that 178,000 quarantine passes is to be distributed to households in Cebu City.
Barangay officials assisted by the PNP started the distribution of the said quarantine passes Friday afternoon. The new quarantine passes also renders the initial Cebu City quarantine pass obsolete.
A quarantine pass indicates the allowed household member to use it as well as the household address. The new quarantine pass also features a QR code for added security, prevention of unscrupulous use and holds the information needed to know on when an authorized person outside residence (APOR) may go out to buy essentials.
People with QR code passes that end in odd numbers (1, 3, 5, 7, 9) will be allowed to go out on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays while those ending in even numbers (2, 4, 6, 8, 0) will be allowed to go out on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.
Only APORs may go out on a Sunday.
Mandatory stay-at-home order for all individuals except for those using the quarantine pass to buy essential needs such as food or medicine and APOR is still to be strictly observed as Cebu City is now considered a hotspot of the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in the country. (GFB)
