169 Couples Exchange Vows In Hundred Islands Mass Wedding

At least 169 couples tied the knot during the 3rd Kasalang Bayan (mass wedding) at the Hundred Islands National Park (HINP) on Valentine’s Day.

The couples, all from Alaminos City, exchanged “I do’s” before their families and friends at the Quezon Island in a civil wedding ceremony solemnized by City Mayor Arthur Celeste.

Celeste encouraged the couples to put God in the center of their marriage. He also thanked the sponsors and organizers of the event led by the city’s Civil Registry Office headed by Lovely Milles.

Meanwhile, Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) Region I Director Socrates Ramores said February is Civil Registry Month and their agency supports the mass wedding event which formed part of their celebration.

On the other hand, Lorenzo Ocampo, Pag-IBIG Fund Dagupan Branch Manager, urged the couples to start saving for their own house to benefit their families through their agency’s programs. (PNA) JBP/LVM/JOHANNE MARGARETTE R. MACOB/RMA
