150 Couples to be Wed in 4-Day Mass Wedding in Cebu City

The Cebu City government sponsors a 4-day mass wedding event for 150 couples in the city.

On Sep 21, 31 couples have tied the knot in Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral.

This is the first batch of the 150 couples that are included in the 4-day mass wedding. The next batch of couples will be wed on September 23, 27, and 30.

Msgr. Camelo Alia, Msgr. Raul Go, Father Glenn Guanzon, and Father Isias Gerale officiated the wedding of the couples.

Meanwhile, Diagold sponsored the wedding rings for the couples.

After the wedding, the newly wedded couples were brought to Fort San Pedro for the reception.

Cebu City Mayor Edgardo Labella and Vice Mayor Michael served as godfathers for the couples but were not present in the event.

However, Labella’s eldest son Jaypee Labella represented his father while Rama was represented by Cebu City Councilor Donaldo “Dondon” Hontiveros.

Also present in the wedding ceremony were councilors Jerry Guardo, Niña Mabatid, and Raymond Garcia, DMDP head Sheila May Daluz, DSWS Head Portia Basmayor, and Brgy Pasil Kagawad Maria Pino.

This is the 14th mass wedding sponsored by the Cebu City government. (ASC)
