On this, tourism stakeholders in Bohol welcome the development as the anticipation of the onslaught of summer tourists and fiesta celebrations in Bohol would bring in the unusually heavy sea traffic.
This is also considering the limited plane seats for Tagbilaran whose airport is still restricted to a one-plane on a tarmac policy.
The presence of efficient and more fast craft trips to Tagbilaran has significantly responded to the need for a connection from Bohol to Cebu and nearby areas, to allow easy access to tourists and cargo, which are the lifeblood of Bohol economy, a shipper said. (mbcn/rac/PIA7-Bohol)
