12th Thirsty Football Cup

The football festival that started it all returns this month of February. The 12th Thirsty Football Cup will happen this Friday February 20, 2015 and will end at Sunday February 22, 2015. The venue for this year’s games will be at the Cebu City Sports Complex.

The games for the Mix Under 9, Mix Under 11, 38 Above, Men’s Open, Boys Under 23, category will start off the event on Friday, February 20, 2015. The first games will start at 5:30pm and end around 12 midnight.

Saturday’s games will include the Mix Under 7, Mix Under 9, Boys Under 13, Boys Under 15, Girls Under 23. Sunday’s games will include the Girls Under 15, Boys Under 18, Girls Under 18, women’s Open and the Men’s Open.

Saturday’s and Sunday’s games start at 7:30am and could end at around the late evening as well.

The first Thirsty Cup was founded on 2003 and since then has brought more football teams from outside Cebu. It continues to enrich the football affair, in terms of quality games and fun, with more new teams every football season.

The Thirsty Football Festivals has really made soccer more popular in Cebu. The number of teams participating has kept going higher. Soccer players and fans wait for it with eager expectation as the school year begins.
