11.8K Families Affected by ‘Rosita’
Around 11,878 families or equivalent to 38,398 persons were affected by inclement weather caused by Typhoon Rosita, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) said in its 6 a.m. update Wednesday.
The report, which was signed by NDRRMC executive director Ricardo Jalad, said the affected families are from 478 barangays in Regions 1, 2, 3 and the Cordillera Administrative Region.
Of the above-mentioned figure, 7, 263 families or 24, 447 persons are being served in 424 evacuation centers.
Also, a total of 25 road sections and five bridges were reported affected in Region 2 and the CAR.
The NDRRMC also reported that a total of 8,864 families or 32,519 persons were preemptively evacuated in Regions 1,2, 3 and the CAR. (PNA)
