₱3.5-M Worth of Shabu Nabbed on Independence Day
There is no holiday for the Cebu City Police as they nabbed ₱3.5 million worth of suspected shabu on the afternoon of Independence Day, June 12, 2018.
The joint effort of Cebu City Intelligence Branch (CIB) and City Drug Enforcement Unit (CDEU) led by PSI Jonathan Taneo and PSUPT Cristopher Navida under the supervision of PSSUPT Joel B. Doria, CD, CCPO conducted a buy-bust operation at Brgy. Basak San Nicolas, Cebu City.
Catalino Dingding Oliveros Jr. A.K.A “Chats,” male, 37 years of age, a resident of Sitio Tabasca, Brgy. San Nicolas was arrested in possession of the following: a piece of medium-sized, heat-sealed, transparent plastic pack that is subject to sale, a recovered piece of extra large, self-sealed, transparent plastic pack, and 2 recovered pieces of large, heat-sealed, transparent plastic packs, all containing a white crystalline substance suspected to be shabu.
6 pieces of one thousand-peso bills (PHP 6,000.00), buy-bust money, and 5 pieces of one thousand-peso bills (PHP 5,000.00) are believed to be proceeds of his illegal drug trade.
An estimated total weight of 300 grams of suspected shabu was recovered from Oliveros with an estimated street value of ₱3,500,000.00.
Oliveros was previously arrested on July 2017 in violation of Sec. 11, Art. II of RA 9165. (CCPO)
